Contract Sales Associate

Contract Sales Associate is a seasonal contractor (April - August) who makes commission on sales with variable work schedules, including working in rotation on the weekends.  Associates’ job is to listen to and educate customers that are in the market for an above ground pool, hot tub or related supporting products.  Associates establish a relationship, set expectations, and design a purchase plan with customers based on customer budget and need.  The sales work will be in store, on the showroom floor, as well as by phone and email to follow up with customers who come into the store and contact Country Leisure by phone or through company website. 

All employees are expected to abide by the policies set forth by the Employee Handbook and all amendments and updates to that handbook.  Company employees will also uphold the values and standards of Country Leisure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet all showroom customers during your shift 

  • Answer all showroom-related phone calls 

  • Document customer names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, stated product needs, and any other information related to a particular client in the Evosus database

  • Follow-up on all leads by phone and email consistent with our Sales Playbook. 

  • Demonstrate to customers the features, usage, and maintenance associated with pools and/or hot tubs

  • Complete contracts according to the specifics of a sale and collects a down payment from customer

  • Work alongside Country Leisure employees to address any special circumstances surrounding a delivery, financing, or installation of products.

  • Guide customers through the financing process

  • Write thank you cards to new clients

  • Track your own closing ratios and completing paperwork associated with monthly goals

  • Communicate regularly with customers whose orders are outstanding

  • Making follow up calls to new customers to ensure satisfaction and gather essential performance and marketing feedback

  • Perform weekly maintenance on showroom hot tubs

Education and/or Experience               

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus 3 years sales experience in business to business sales or retail environments.

Language Skills               

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills               

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability               

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
